Embers has a quiet and biddable temperament combined with endurance and cow smarts.
Gene tested Ee Aa CrCr W20n, he is a guaranteed colour producer over any non-grey mares, producing mostly buckskins, palominos and some smoky blacks (black buckskins). 50% of his foals will also inherit the W20 (white extension) gene producing extra bling in the form of big stars, blazes and socks (see Hoya Riverfire and Hoya Calcifer in foals 2017).
Embers is quiet enough to be used as a paddock stallion and looks after all the mares and foals (including those sired by outside stallions) and tolerates the herd geldings. He is affectionate and runs to greet you when entering the paddock. Embers is easy going enough to jump on in the paddock and even after a break remembers his training. He is a pleasure to ride and has passed this temperament onto his foals.
